Everyone has a favorite Stephen King adaptation, whether it's something spooky, a coming-of-age film, or a perfect blend of both. The horror author himself has implied that his four favorites are Misery, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and Stand by Me. And while those are all certified classics, some fans may be shocked by the glaring omissions (where's The Shining or the underrated The Monkey?). He actually has so many adaptations that it's a nearly impossible task to rank them all. But Time has picked the best of the best and gave us a list of the top 20.
There are some surprising choices, for sure, like No Smoking over 1408, but overall, these are the cream of the King crop. Did your favorite make the list?
